First Announcement

The Working Groups I/1, I/3 and IV/4 of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing will hold a joint workshop on "Imaging Sensors and Mapping from Space" in Hannover, Germany from 27-30 September 1999. This meeting is the follow-up workshop of the one held in Hannover in 1997.

The objectives of the Workshop are to present and to discuss the results of the past 2 years trends in the following subjects:

1. Geometric and Radiometric Sensor Calibration

2. Sensor Parameter Standardisation

3. Status of Sensors for Mapping

4. Situation of SAR and Laser Scanning

5. Status and Technical Definition of High Resolution Satellite Systems for Topographic and Thematic Mapping

6. Mapping Potential of Existing High Resolution Satellite Imagery

The Workshop event is to offer the possibility to developers, researchers and users to review and discuss the mentioned topics and to find recommendations for future development.

Conference fee is DM 450,-. For registration and further information please contact:
