WG I/1 - Terms of Reference:

• Standardisation of definitions and measurement of various sensor specification related parameters, such as spectral resolution, radiometric sensitivity, etc.
  
• Techniques and procedures for laboratory calibration of sensors
  
• In-flight calibration of sensors, including atmospheric correction and development of standard calibration sites and procedures
  
• Calibration of non-metric airborne sensors
  
• Calibration, characterisation and evaluation of image scanners
  
• Collaboration with organisations involved in the standardisation of imaging devices and components used in imaging such as CEN, ISO, IEC, SPIE and CIE.
  
• Participation with the CEOS Working Group on Calibration and Validation
