The HRS Scientific Assessment Program
Background:
- Launch of SPOT 5: May 4th 2002
- First HRS assessment made by CNES, Spot Image and IGN
- July 2002: Agreement between CNES-DG (Gérard Brachet) and ISPRS-P (John Trinder) to set up an HRS Assessment Program
Objectives
- To open access of HRS data not usually available to the ISPRS community for assessing DEM generation.
- To help CNES to prepare its future programs
Organization: An HRS Study Team
- Secretariat co-chaired by Manfred Schroeder (ISPRS) and Alain Baudoin (CNES)
HRS data provided by Spot Image and IGN to:
- Principal Investigators, who provide reference data (GCPs, DEM, …)
- Co-Investigators: working on PIs test areas (with same HRS data)
