Call for Papers --------------- PIA19 - Photogrammetric Image Analysis 2019 September 18-20, 2019 Munich, Germany http://www.pia.tum.de Automated extraction of objects from remotely sensed data is an important topic of research in Computer Vision, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and Geoinformation Science. In order to discuss recent developments and future trends in research in automatic object extraction and their influence on sensors and processing techniques, the two ISPRS conferences "Photogrammetric Image Analysis" (PIA) and the "Munich Remote Sensing Symposium" (MRSS) will be held as a common event for the first time. The aim of the common event is to seek, exploit and deepen the synergies between geometry and semantics, and to give the two scientific communities the possibility to discuss with and to learn from each other. The joint event addresses experts from research, government, and private industry. It consists of high quality papers, and provides an international forum for discussion of leading research and technological developments as well as applications in the field. The location of the event will be Munich, Germany. Conference topics: ------------------ - Data acquisition by mobile mapping (RGB, TIR, LiDAR, RADAR) - Sensor and system calibration - Photogrammetric point cloud generation - Point clouds from TLS, MLS, and ALS, full waveform analysis - Point cloud processing and co-registration - Labeling and semantic segmentation of point clouds - Surface reconstruction and classification - 3D object reconstruction from terrestrial, airborne or satellite data - Object detection and tracking - Scene analysis for autonomous driving and driver assistance - Indoor and outdoor navigation and mapping, SLAM - Change detection on point and object level - Sensor and data fusion including information from GIS, BIM, or CAD - Generation and texturing of buildings and 3D city models - Machine learning for image and point cloud analysis - Deep learning, CNNs, and GANs - Benchmark data sets for machine learning models - Photogrammetry in construction, construction cite monitoring - Close range photogrammetry, metrology, and industrial applications - Extraction of vegetation and single tree detection from point clouds - Active and passive infrared thermography Paper Submission: ----------------- Prospective authors are invited to submit a full paper of maximum 8 pages. These papers will undergo a rigorous double blind review process. Accepted papers will be published in "ISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences" This edition indicats on the papers the double-blind peer-reviewed process. The Annals are open access publications, they are published under the Creative Common Attribution 4.0 and are listed in the ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) of the Web of Science, SCOPUS, the E/I Compendex, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and by Google Scholar (h5-index: 26). Furthermore, authors of selected papers will be invited for a special issue of PFG – Journal of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation Science. Extended versions of these papers will undergo a simplified review process. The type of presentation (oral or interactive) will be decided by the program committee and will be dependent upon the subject of the paper and the way it fits to the overall program. Authors who intend to present application oriented work that is in particular suitable for interactive presentation may submit an extended abstract. In case of acceptance by the program committee, these authors are invited to submit a full paper which will be published in "The International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences". Conference Venue: ----------------- The conference will be held in Munich, the capital of Bavaria, and will be hosted by the Chair of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Technical University of Munich (TUM). The workshop site is located at TUM, close to the museum district, and in walking distance to the main station and center of Munich. Important dates: ---------------- - Full papers deadline March 31, 2019 - Abstract deadline April 15, 2019 - Notification of authors June 01, 2019 - Final paper deadline July 15, 2019 - MRSS19+PIA19 conference Sep 18-20, 2019 We apologize for any cross-postings.
