IJGI 2023 Young Investigator Award

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the IJGI 2023 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Mingshu Wang.

Dr. Mingshu Wang is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the Geospatial Data Science School of Geographical & Earth Sciences at the University of Glasgow, Glasgow, United Kingdom. His research focuses on developing and applying methods of GIScience (i.e., geographical information systems, remote sensing and spatial analysis) and big data analytics (e.g., machine learning, artificial intelligence and econometrics) to understand urban systems.

This year, MDPI, IJGI, and Remote Sensing celebrated GIS Day by organizing a special webinar to raise awareness about the importance of geospatial science and technology and their successful application. New Special Issue Reprint Published

We are pleased to announce the publication of an open access reprint for the Special Issue "Cartography and Geomedia". This reprint is a collection of original research contributions focusing on the use of individual media as information carriers in the context of the role of a map or cartographic shape as the core of a geomedia product.
