Terms of Reference
(last revised November 2019)

  1. Identify and follow up opportunities to increase funding from international grant-funding agencies/foundations, private sector organizations and government organizations
    1. Identify prospective donors likely to be sympathetic to the goals of ISPRS and TIF
    2. Publicize the aims of ISPRS and TIF to these organizations
    3. Develop appropriate procedures and points of contact for approaching, then applying for grants or seeking donations from, these organizations
    4. Develop procedures for renewal/maintenance of annual grants and donations from these organizations
    5. Following on from §1(a)-(d) above, take actions jointly with the Board of Trustees to secure grants or donations or renewals from these organizations.
  2. Identify and follow up other opportunities to increase funding
    1. Identify opportunities to increase funding levels from existing donors
    2. Identify new opportunities to raise funds, e.g. within ISPRS and/or TIF
    3. Identify individuals who may be interested in donating
    4. Following on from §2(a)-(c) above, take actions jointly with the Board of Trustees to secure donations.
  3. Publicize the goals and work of TIF worldwide
    1. Identify target audiences that may not be aware of TIF
    2. Develop appropriate communications materials, including but not limited to brochure, PowerPoint presentation, website
    3. Following on from §3(a)-(b) above, take actions jointly with the Board of Trustees to use these materials and ensure that TIF’s message reaches the target audiences.
