Use of mobile laser scanning for forest field reference
Tuesday, 31.05.2022 at 14:00 CEST
ABSTRACT
The talk will be about how to automatically make high quality field references for ALS surveys. Handheld, backpack, drone, harvester and other mobile laser scanning techniques will be used to accomplish that. Airborne laser scanning has been applied operationally for about 15 years in boreal forests, but field reference is fully manual, laborious and costly.
