Workshop Objectives and Conditions

The goal of this ISPRS Workshop is to bring scientists from photogrammetry, remote sensing, computer vision, visualization and animation together, in order to discuss recent developments and achievements. The Workshop takes place in a very attractive environment: the mountain scenery of Tarasp-Vulpera, which lies in the center of the famous Lower Engadin Valley. The last days of February will guarantee an abundance of snow and the rising sun will give us longer and warmer days and a first glimpse of spring. This is the best time for skiing and other wintersports activities. Therefore we have built into our program some room for sports activities. Vulpera and the surrounding areas provide for various possibilities to enjoy winter and snow in Switzerland at its best (downhill skiing, carving, snow boarding, crosscountry skiing, hiking, bathing, etc.). We will all stay together at the Conference Hotel Villa Post. All meals on the conference days will be served there. This will give us a very personalized atmosphere with much room and time for the discussion of scientific and technical issues even after work.
